Defending champion Mohammad Sajjad hit the highest break of the day — 132 — in the ongoing Langnese Ranking Snooker Cup in his 4-2 demolition of Mohammad Imran at the Movenpick Hotel in Karachi.

Sajjad, who will be participating in the upcoming IBSF World Championship, won with scores of 61-71, 0-84, 84-0, 75-01, 91-34, 132-0 (132).

Shahram Changezi, who has also been selected for the mega event in Egypt, downed Muhammad Majid Ali 4-2 with scores of 64-57, 96-06, 55-54, 53-67, 33-53, 60-52.

Meanwhile, Zulfiqar Qadir caused a major upset with a 4-3 victory over third seed Abdul Sattar, while Ian Mark John stunned Khurram Agha after a seven-setter with a scoreline of 95-24, 61-36, 37-76, 07-89, 74-05, 14-75, 63-08.

Imran Shehzad thumped Abdul Raheem 4-0, while Shahid Aftab thrashed Amir Tariq 4-1.

Abu Saim also registered a 4-1 victory over Bahadur Khan and Sultan Mohammad beat Nouman Iqbal 4-2, with former national champion Muhammad Asif Toba besting Sharjeel Mehmood with the same scoreline.
