Police register abduction case against PML-N MPA

Police recovered on Wednesday two abducted girls from Karampur area of district Vehari, and booked a Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) MPA for allegedly kidnapping them.

The recovered girls, identified as Amna and Wajiha, were allegedly abducted by MPA Naeem Bhabha on gunpoint.

Details suggest Abdul Wahab, a cousin of the abducted girls, had married a daughter of the Bhabha family three months ago, following which the family registered a case against him.

The case was dismissed when the girl gave a statement in favour of Wahab.

The wedding ceremony of the girl was scheduled on October 27 when the MPA, belonging to the Bhabha family, came with around 20 people and abducted Amna and Wajiha.

According to the area SHO, police raided on Wednesday the hideouts of the accused persons, arrested them and recovered the abducted girls.

Police have registered an FIR No 273/15 against the accused MPA elected from PP-237, and 20 others people involved in the abduction under Sections 7 of the ATA, 337/H-2, 365/356, 148, 149 and 109 of the PPC.
