PESHAWAR:

National Accountability Bureau (NAB) filed a corruption reference against four people, including a Peshawar revenue registrar, for transferring government land to a citizen. The reference was worth Rs94.3 million and a date of hearing would be fixed soon.

NAB nominated former revenue registrar Khalid Saleem, former sub registrars Mian Samiullah Jan, Dost Muhammad and another man identified as Fazal Qadeem. The reference said the former officials transferred ownership of a 28-kanal plot to Qadeem.

Separately, an accountability court on Tuesday issued an arrest warrant for a government contractor in the weapons scam and ordered the suspect be produced before the judge on November 8.

Accountability Court Special Judge Tariq Yousafzai took up an application filed by a Arshad Chishti. Chishti complained Arshad Majeed falsely accused the applicant of paying Rs50 million to close an enquiry against himself.
