Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) lawmakers submitted on Monday an adjournment motion in the National Assembly to discuss Indian aggression on the Sialkot working boundary. The move comes a day after the PPP asked the government to take parliament into confidence over its India policy.
PPP MNAs Shazia Mari, Ayaz Soomro, Beelum Husnain, Ghulam Mustafa Shah and Aijaz Jakhrani submitted the motion at the assembly’s secretariat under the Rule 110 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the National Assembly, 2007.

PPP lawmakers requested the speaker to allow the opposition to discuss the matter of continuous breach of Pak-India ceasefire agreement on the working boundary in Shakargarh sector by the Indian Border Security Force (BSF).
“The cross-border shelling and firing from Indian forces has resulted in many fatalities as well as injuries of many Pakistanis over a period of few days. This act of cowardliness and continuous offensive attitude of Indian security forces is escalating the tension between the two neighbouring countries and a complete disregard towards the on-going efforts of Pakistan to bring a peaceful solution to regional problems,” the motion read.
India should refrain itself from testing Pakistan’s patience and not to take Pakistan’s desire for peace as our weakness, they said.

This is a serious issue and requires immediate discussion on the floor of the house, the PPP MNAs added.
