Sindh Microfinance Bank has received its banking licence from the State Bank of Pakistan to operate as a provincial level bank. Sindh Microfinance Bank has its head office in Karachi and was incorporated in March 2015 with equity of Rs750 million injected by Sindh Bank. It will focus on serving the under-developed areas of Sindh ensuring that the basic banking services should reach the poor with emphasis on rural women empowerment. The bank has chalked out a comprehensive plan to introduce products and services aimed at providing economic support to thousands of rural households.
