Four processions were taken out from various parts of the provincial capital to commemorate the eighth of Muharram on Thursday. An insider told The Express Tribune, the first procession was taken from Hussainia Hall, Saddar around 4pm and ended in the evening. “The second procession was taken out around 11pm,” he said. A large procession was taken from imambargahs in Hashtnagri and Kochi Bazaar. “The entire city has been sealed as shopkeepers have been asked to halt business activities between Muharram 6 and 10. Additional police contingents, including FC officials, have been deployed and control rooms established where representatives of various sects are deployed.
