Japan Corner: Study section inaugurated at CIIT
Nippon Foundation has donated around 100 books for the Japan Corner
ISLAMABAD:
A newly-built “Japan Corner” sponsored by Nippon Foundation and the Embassy of Japan was inaugurated at the central library of the COMSATS Institute of Information Technology (CIIT) here on Monday. Japanese Ambassador Hiroshi Inomata together with CIIT Rector Dr SM Junaid Zaidi inaugurated the corner. Nippon Foundation has donated around 100 books for the Japan Corner, whereas the Japanese Embassy has provided 25 books. Inomata during his meeting with the university’s rector hoped the area would help students and teachers learn about the East Asian nation. He said the students would have access to the information necessary to develop their academic research about Japan and, thus, increase the ties that link the two countries.
