Accountability: Ombudsman orders action against police
Filed a complaint with the Saddar SP and the assistant director against the policemen. “No action was taken
LAHORE:
Ombudsman Javed Mehmood Akhtar on Sunday ordered the registration of cases against the Faisalabad Saddar SP, the Tandlianwala SHO and the Faisalabad Anti-Corruption Establishment assistant director. Rustam Ali, a resident of Chak 429, told the ombudsman Tandlianwala police had raided his house without a warrant. “They arrested my two sons and took away valuables. My sons were released the next day. However, police did not return our valuables.” He said he had filed a complaint with the Saddar SP and the assistant director against the policemen. “No action was taken,” he said.
