KARACHI: Nestlé Pakistan is teaming up with the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) for the promotion of agricultural entrepreneurship in Karachi. The Entrepreneurship Development Programme will be launched in October for those keen to develop skills in agricultural entrepreneurship and management. It will comprise a weekend certificate programme, which will be spread over four months. A batch of 40 students will be trained each year for three years. The technical knowledge and skills that they acquire will enable them to make use of modern and innovative agricultural and business management practices, comprising on-farm and off-farm value addition, innovation and growth. Students will be mentored at all stages of the programme by faculty members of the IBA as well as technical experts from the agriculture sector. The teaching programme will also introduce students to learning business start-up and management skills, which will enable them to launch and grow their own businesses.
