Targeted: Police constable shot dead

SHO terms it a targeted attack and said that they have recovered five casings of a 9mm pistol from the crime site

A police constable was shot dead in Karimabad on Saturday. Police officials said that two unidentified motorcyclists started firing on 38-year-old Tabish Ali, son of Waheed Ali. He sustained five bullets and succumbed to injuries on his way to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. He was deputed at meat market for security duty when he was attacked. The SHO termed it a targeted attack and said that they have recovered five casings of a 9mm pistol from the crime site for investigations.

Meanwhile, an alleged gangster was killed in firing between two rival groups of a Lyari-based gang. The body of Aslam Baloch alias Aslam Posi was shifted to Civil hospital for medico-legal formalities.  The Kalakot police said that the incident took place between the Baba Ladla and Uzair Baloch groups that resulted in the death of one gangster while several others sustained injuries. The members of the gang took away their injured accomplices with them.
