Founding anniversary: MuQ marks 35 years

Qadri says organisation has busied itself in propagating the message of Islam across the world with remarkable success

The Minhajul Quran (MuQ) has been engaged in spreading the message of peace and tranquillity through quality education for the last three decades, MuQ founder Tahirul Qadri said on Saturday.


Qadri, who is also the chairman of the Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) made the remarks while addressing a special event organised to mark the passage of 35 years since the MuQ’s inception through video link. He said the organisation had now busied itself in propagating the message of Islam across the world with remarkable success. Qadri said the organisation was celebrating the completion of 35 years of public service. He said the MuQ stood second to none when it came to serving disadvantaged Pakistanis.

The MuQ chief said the organisation had played a crucial role in combating terrorism and miscreants not just in Pakistan but the world over. He said religious scholars affiliated with the MuQ had been striving to promote love and peace in accordance with the teachings of Islam worldwide. Qadri said his 600-page essay against terrorism had been translated in all major languages of the world. He said it was being used to enlighten the young with regard to ways of combating terrorism.

Qadri greeted MuQ activists and leaders on the occasion. Those present on the occasion prayed for the good health and long life of their leader.
