Increased monitoring: CCTV cameras to be installed in AJK
Besides security cameras, complete information and thumb impressions of all passengers will be shared with the police
MUZAFFARABAD:
The AJK government will install closed circuit television (CCTV) cameras at the 42 main entry and exit points of the region. Meanwhile, 46 police stations will be established for monitoring. At a meeting for the National Action Plan, Director General Information Technology Muhammad Sarwar Gondal briefed the members about initiatives the department was planning to take to bolster security. “Besides security cameras, complete information and thumb impressions of all passengers will be shared with the police to assist them in keeping track of people entering and exiting the city,” Gondal said.
