Making exceptions: CM allows use of loudspeaker during majalis, processions
Shia Ulemas say that it will be quite difficult for the ulema to address huge gatherings without using loudspeakers

Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah, in view of the demand of the Shia ulema, has allowed the use of loudspeakers during majalis and processions. For the purpose, a notification will also be issued. He accorded this approval while presiding over a meeting of Shia ulema at CM House.
They said that it will be quite difficult for the ulema to address huge gatherings without using loudspeakers. They added that their leaders also guide the mourners during Muharram processions through loudspeakers and that would again be difficult for them.

The CM said that the ban on the use of loudspeakers has been imposed under National Action Plan. "[But] in your case, I am allowing you to use loudspeakers," said Shah. "But its use must be made sagaciously, particularly in the light of the code of conduct. Strict action will be taken if hate speeches are delivered anywhere in the province."
