The provincial administration is conducting an enquiry against 147 employees of the Excise and Taxation Department for travelling abroad on private tours without no objection certificates (NOC) and not declaring themselves government officials. The decision was taken by Chief Secretary Amjad Ali Khan when it was discovered that a large number of employees from the concerned department had been travelling, not only to Dubai and the Middle East, but also to other countries without fulfilling the requirements as per the rules of the government.
