Downpour: Heavy rain hits parts of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa
The Met department has predicted thunderstorms in Peshawar, Gilgit-Baltistan, Hazara, Malakand and other areas

Heavy rain lashed various parts of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa on Tuesday night. The mercury dropped and power supply was suspended for several hours. Pakistan Meteorological Department recorded eight millimetres of rain in Peshawar, 27mm in Risalpur and 24mm in Abbottabad.
According to Provincial Disaster Management Authority, no casualties have been reported so far. A hailstorm coupled with rain resulted in the destruction of trees and billboards in some parts of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
Most of these areas faced power outages which lasted for more than three hours. Traffic jams were witnessed in various localities of Risalpur.
