Pu convocation: Kamran favours pursuit of knowledge
The VC had actually said that “Muslims abandoned the pursuit of knowledge of nature and patient observation
LAHORE:
In a statement released on Sunday, a Punjab University spokesman said that the VC had been misquoted in the report about his address to the 123rd convocation as saying that rather than acquiring knowledge about natural sciences, Muslims had indulged in seeking knowledge about human activities, languages and literature. He said the VC had actually said that “Muslims abandoned the pursuit of knowledge of nature and patient observation, and focused merely on idle discussions and petty issues pertaining to languages.” He also said the VC had not mentioned his two books during the address.
