Suicide: Teenager jumps into well, drowns
Noor Bibi, Shahnaz’s mother, scolded and slapped her daughter for not helping around the house
HARIPUR:
A teenage girl is said to have committed suicide by jumping into a well in a remote village of Bir union council. According to police, 18-year-old Shahnaz Bibi was watching television when her mother asked her to help with household chores. Noor Bibi, Shahnaz’s mother, scolded and slapped her daughter for not helping around the house. Following the scolding, the 18-year-old jumped into the well near the courtyard. Locals tried to rescue her; however, she died. Her body was later recovered from the well.
