The actor may have transitioned towards film, but her loyalties with TV will always remain intact. “I will never divorce television. TV is something I will never cut all ties with,” she said. “If a really good script comes along, something that excites me I would definitely go ahead and do it. Television has given me a lot of love and I have a lot of respect for that medium, but at the same time I would like to be involved in a project that offers a challenge or something novel,” Mahira added.

And she is a huge fan of Raees co-star Shah Rukh Khan. When asked which actor she would want to work with if she were offered another Bollywood film, she firmly replied, “Shah Rukh Khan, again. His energy is infectious. “It is very rare that you come across a childhood idol who lives up to your expectations!” she added. But are there other Bollywood films in the pipeline besides Raees?
“Raees is in progress at the moment and is due for release next year. The teaser is out as well. I am listening to some scripts but I haven’t signed anything as yet. My next film Ho Mann Jahan is all set to release. I am looking forward to that,” she said.
Shah Rukh Khan may have captured Mahira’s heart like no other but Humsafar co-star Fawad Khan is a close second. “What I like about Fawad is that he is smart and he is very hard-working,” she said.
Here’s some advice from the gorgeous superstar for all aspiring actors: “Keep on doing what you do best. With actors, the best thing is that each one brings something different on the table. So my advice would be to know your strength and excel in that. Pretty soon you will carve a niche for yourself.”
While we wouldn’t want to change a thing about Mahira, she discloses that she would like change the fact that she is ‘very indecisive’.
