Baber was taken to the District Headquarters Hospital for treatment where doctors declared his condition as stable

A proclaimed offender allegedly attempted suicide in police custody on Saturday.



Police said that Baber Usman, a proclaimed offender, allegedly smashed glass of a window in the lockup, and cut his neck with a broken piece of glass. This led to profuse bleeding.


He was taken to the District Headquarters Hospital for treatment, where the doctors declared his condition as stable. Usman has been in a police lock-up for investigation in a murder case. The police have registered another case against Usman.
