Mysterious death: Body of CDA employee found in outskirts
The police official speculated that the death was a suicide
ISLAMABAD:
An employee of the capital’s civic agency was found dead in the outskirts of the city on Friday, according to the police.
The deceased was identified as 52-year-old Raja Jamil, a range officer of the Capital Development Authority (CDA), whose body was found hanging from a tree in the jurisdiction of the Secretariat police, said SHO Fiaz Shinwari.
The officer said the employee left for work early in the morning and that his body was found hanging from a tree in the afternoon. A passerby found the body and informed the police.
This is the second incident in recent weeks where the body of a government employee has been found hanging from a tree in the capital. Last week, a customs intelligence officer was found hanging from a tree in the jurisdiction of Ramna police.
The police official speculated that the death was a suicide; however a post-mortem is under way to determine the exact cause of death. Police have registered a case and further investigation is under way.
