KARACHI:

Around 794 higher secondary school teachers were appointed on fake documents in Qambar Shahdadkot district, revealed the office of Accountant General, in a report submitted to the education department.

The deputy accountant general said that these teachers were asked to submit their original papers. "The education department had sent a list of these teachers for verification," said the deputy accountant general, adding that after verification it was revealed that these teachers have not given their original documents. He said that they will again give a chance to these teachers by giving them a final warning, but after that a final report will be submitted to the education department. However, sources in education department said that these teachers were already suspended and their salaries were stopped. "Actually, these teachers were appointed by the district education officer," said a senior official in the education department.
