Shipping: Per container charges inflate
Shipping companies impose new charge of $50 per container in the name of currency adjustment factor.

Shipping companies have imposed a new charge of $50 per container in the name of currency adjustment factor which has increased per container charges from Rs18,700 to Rs23,000.
Pakistan Chemical Dyes and Merchants Association Chairman Haroon Agar has voiced his strong opposition to the new charges levied upon the importers and exporters and has urged the officials of the ministry of commerce, ministry of ports and shipping and Federal Investigation Agency to look into the matter. The association has also proposed the formation of a vigilance committee which should include the representatives of importers, exporters and shipping companies.
