Tragic: Child dies from falling in manhole

BAHAWALPUR: A three-year-old girl fell into an open manhole in Sadiqbad tehsil on Tuesday and died. Following the incident, scores of residents of Street 1, Municipal Town, held a protest. They said they had complained about the manhole to Mushtaq Bhatti, in charge of supervising cleanliness in the area, several times but he had not paid heed to their complaints. They said because of him, three-year-old Aiman, daughter of Zahid Hussain, had lost her life.
