SUKKUR:

The Ghotki district and sessions court ordered the police on Tuesday to lodge an FIR against the Mahar brothers for their alleged involvement in forceful occupation of a land in Ghotki.

The brothers, MNA Sardar Ali Gohar Mahar, the former chief minister Ali Muhammad Mahar and Sindh minister Ali Nawaz alias Raja Mahar, had a dispute with a lawyer Syed Kamber Shah over a piece of land near Degree College, Ghotki. Both the parties were claiming ownership of the land.

Shah filed a petition in the district and sessions court stating that the land belonged to his ancestors but the MNA and his brothers forcefully occupied the land due to their influence.

After hearing the petition, the second additional district and sessions judge announced the verdict, and ordered the police to lodge an FIR against the three brothers. However, no FIR was registered till filing of the reports, due to the absence of the SHO Saeed Ahmed Bhayo.
