Threat prevails: Man dies from dengue fever

About 2,071 dengue fever cases have been reported from Sindh between January to October, this year

Sindh Dengue Prevention and Control Program programme manager Masood Ahmed Solangi confirmed on Tuesday that a 27-year-old man died from dengue died on October 2 in a private hospital.



The deceased patient was a resident of North Nazimabad. At least 339 dengue viral cases have been reported across Sindh between September 28 and October 4, 2015, he said. More than 330 cases were detected from Karachi alone, he claimed. Four have been reported from Mirpurkhas, two from Umerkot, and one each from Sukkur, Larkana and Ghotki.


About 2,071 dengue fever cases were reported from Sindh between January to October, this year, he said.


Of these 1,963 were reported in Karachi, 18 in Hyderabad, nine in Larkana, six in Mirpurkhas, fice in Umerkot, four in Shaheed Benazirabad, three each from Sukkur, Thatta and Ghotki and one each from Sanghar, Shikarpur and Jacobabad.
