Heat wave: Heatstroke centres open today
A total of 20 heatstroke patients were reported in hospitals
KARACHI:
Health and Medical Services Department of the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) administration decided to keep the hospitals and dispensaries across the city open on Sunday keeping in view the heatwave situation.
KMC Health and Medical Services director Dr Salma Kausar said that a total of 20 heatstroke patients were reported in hospitals, including Abbasi Shaheed Hospital and Sobhraj Maternity Hospital, in the last two days. She added that the heatstroke relief centres are established in the city following the rise in the temperature.
