PML-N ministers will run NA-122 campaign in personal capacity: Saad Rafique

Says it would be injustice to allow just one party to campaign for the upcoming by-poll

LAHORE: Federal Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique has announced that ministers from the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) will run the political campaign for NA-122 by-poll in their personal capacity.

Addressing a press conference at Lahore Press Club on Saturday, Rafique said it would be an injustice to allow just one party to campaign for the poll.

On September 16, election authorities had barred all parliamentarians from visiting and taking part in the by-election campaign, where tough competition is expected between Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and the ruling PML-N.

Lamenting a delay in Kisan package, the railway minister said it was meant to provide relief to small farmers and had nothing to do with politics.

“PML-N's performance has been impressive and people will vote for it in NA-122," he said. "Imran Khan just cannot see development projects being completed."

Taking on the criticism by PTI leader Imran against the Metro Bus project, the federal minister questioned who had stopped Imran from launching similar project in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P).

“Imran Khan started his sit-ins to stop us from working for the people. He faced defeat in by-elections afterwards,” he said.

Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has changed the outlook of Lahore with development projects and the people of NA-122 will show their trust in PML-N leadership by voting for Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, added Rafique.

Daniyal Aziz, Marvi Memon, Zahid Hamid, Akhtar brothers, Dhamal Chaudhry and the list goes on. All embraced by NS to take revenge from Mush. He has a funny way of going about things.

Ayaz Sadiq should have simply gone to SC and obtain a stay order. He should have done so right around last week along with Siddiq Baloch and just like Siddiq Baloch wasting away all those millions spent on NA-154 campaign and buying people by Jahaz Tareen; Sadiq should have done the same with Aleem 'Qabza" Khan who is giving away Ching Chi rickshaws, water coolers and motorcycles as bribes to people of NA-122. As for hitting the ground, you and I know very how PML-N campaigns - low key and striking at the right moment when one is least expecting. Right now is the not time to blow trumpet.They will go full throttle in the middle of 2017 and by then Niazi would be completely washed away and rendered totally impotent. @Gramscian, In the event you are blind or don't know much about politics - Aleem Khan is an ex-chamcha of Pervaiz Elahi and Musharraf and a former Punjab minister in Pervaiz Elahi's cabinet. His campaign is being supported by Mian Aslam who is also a Q-League lota and then who would forget that biggest lota of all who would eventually doom Aleem Khan - Chaudhry Sarwar.

Campaign in Noon terms means prepoll, polling day and post-poll rigging. One rigger helping the other. Suits well. Not to mention that he has former stalwarts of Q League on his sides.

Imran is making an issue out of every thing and its time to start showing him real people power so he can focus on KPK for his sake. Further, 2.5 years to go in next elections so its time to hit the ground running for N.
