18 die in road crashes

At least 18 people died, whereas 1,550 were injured in 1,523 Road Traffic Crashes (RTCs) in Punjab during the last 24 hours.
After the accidents, 642 people were shifted to hospitals, while 908 others were treated at the site by Rescue Medical Teams.
Official data showed that 889 adult and 55 underage drivers, 167 pedestrians and 502 passengers were among the victims.
The statistics showed that 231 RTCs were reported in Lahore, which affected 284 persons, followed by 107 in Faisalabad with 122 victims and 102 in Multan with 116 victims. Of the victims, 1,254 were male and 304 female, while 323 were under 18 years of age, 788 between 18 and 40 years.
