Fire engulfs paint factory on Multan Road
.

A fire broke out at a private paint manufacturing factory in the Hanjrawal area along Multan Road on Monday morning, triggering a large-scale emergency response by Rescue 1122.
Rescue 1122 spokesperson Farooq Ahmed said the emergency call was received at around 9:25am at the Emergency Command and Control Centre.
Firefighting teams reached the site promptly and found that the blaze had already engulfed a significant portion of the factory, where paint and chemical materials were stored.
Rescue officials said the presence of highly flammable substances intensified the fire, making the operation more challenging.
Firefighters launched a coordinated effort from multiple directions, using specialised equipment including chemical foam, thermal imaging cameras, hazmat units and self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) to contain the flames.
At the height of the operation, more than 25 emergency vehicles and around 85 firefighters were deployed, with additional support teams called in from Rescue headquarters.
After nearly five hours of continuous efforts, the fire was brought under control, preventing it from spreading to nearby factories and residential areas.
Cooling operations continued into the afternoon to eliminate any remaining hotspots.
Officials confirmed that no casualties or injuries were reported in the incident. However, initial findings indicated that inadequate fire safety measures at the factory may have contributed to the rapid spread of the blaze.
Authorities said an investigation was underway to determine the exact cause of the fire.
