Police register case against MQM's Wasim Akhter

Karachi police registered on Friday night a case against Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Wasim Akhter for 'inciting people to violence'.

According to Express News, an FIR was registered against Akhter at the SITE police station in Karachi for inciting people to violence in a recent press conference.


Earlier on Thursday, Karachi police had registered a treason case against senior MQM leader Mohammad Anwar, who resides in London, United Kingdom.

Anwar is already facing a money laundering case in London, and was released on bail after remaining in custody for 10 hours at the Central London police station in April this year.
