Pulling out the rug : CBA warns Afghan nationals to relocate
The warning applies to both registered and unregistered Afghan nationals
ABBOTABAD:
The Cantonment Board Abbottabad (CBA) has warned all Afghan nationals to relocate their businesses and residences to other areas within the next 30 days, insiders told The Express Tribune on Friday. The decision has been taken due to security reasons. According to insiders, a large number of Afghan nationals who either reside or conduct business in the area were issued warnings through the media. If they fail to vacate their homes and wind up their businesses within the stipulated period, they will be forcibly expelled from the area. When contacted, CBA Vice Chairman Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto said the announcement was imperative to maintaining security. “The warning applies to both registered and unregistered Afghan nationals,” he said. “This will give locals a chance to conduct business and earn a living.”
