Communications Programme: BCom students denied admission

However, such students could seek admission to the evening programme

LAHORE:
The Government Mohammadan Anglo Oriental College (MAO) has barred BCom degree holders from seeking admission to its master’s in mass communication morning degree programme. A spokesperson for the Punjab University, with which the college is affiliated, told The Express Tribune that under university rules all those having a university degree were eligible for the MA programme. MAO College Principal Tahir Yousaf Bukhari said BCom students had been refused admission to the morning programme because of the “nature of the course outline”. However, such students could seek admission to the evening programme. He did not elaborate the difference between the two programmes.
