Nepra notifies reduction in tariff charged by electricity distribution companies.
ISLAMABAD:
Electricity consumers across the country could breathe a sigh of relief as a reduction in the tariff charged by electricity distribution companies was notified by the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) here on Wednesday.
According to a press release, Nepra conducted a public hearing for the applications received from the electricity distribution companies for fuel price adjustment. The hearing concluded with Nepra approving a 46 paisa per unit reduction in the tariff charged by KESC and a reduction of Rs1.08 per unit in the tariff charged by all other electricity distribution companies.
