ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information Senator Pervaiz Rashid said on Wednesday that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan has sabotaged the Kissan package for his politics.

The aim of announcing a Rs341 billion package for farmers by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was to keep the fields green and flourishing and bring prosperity in their homes by increasing growers’ income through better yields, he said in a statement, adding, “But, Imran Khan has sabotaged it for his politics.”

The minister said that the PTI chief would be responsible for impoverished condition of farmers and growers, who are already confronted by difficulties.

People of the country, Pervaiz Rashid said, are witness that the prime minister always used best available resources to provide facilities to the masses, especially the low income group. Whereas, Imran Khan always did politics of turning the common man’s benefit into loss, he added.

The minister said that opposing development plans from the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor to every single project, is the politics of Imran.

He said that today the farmer community has the right to ask the PTI chief as to why they have been punished and deprived of the billions of rupees package.

“The public would reject anti-people politics of Imran and support the politics of Nawaz Sharif for development and prosperity,” Rashid added.
