LAHORE: A group of lawyers staged a demonstration at the Lahore High Court on Tuesday to protest against former Supreme Court Bar Association president Asma Jahangir and former Lahore High Court Bar Association president Dr Khalid Ranjha for defending MQM chief Altaf Hussain in a petition seeking a ban on media coverage of his speeches. The petition is pending hearing in the Lahore High Court.  The protest was led by Advocate Aftab Ahmad Virk, who is one of the petitioners against the MQM chief. Advocate Virk said both lawyers had betrayed the legal fraternity by defending MQM chief in the case. He said he would soon approach all bar councils to seek action against them.
