Deadly virus: Fourth Congo virus case detected in city
Elderly patient was in a stable condition and had been shifted to the isolation ward

The fourth case of Congo virus surfaced in the city on the fifth day of Eidul Azha. The patient has been shifted to the isolation ward at the Civil Hospital, Karachi. The victim, 60-year-old Sardar Khan, is a resident of Landhi and a butcher by profession. Earlier, doctors had diagnosed him with dengue virus but laboratory tests confirmed he was affected by the Congo virus. Sindh Health Minister Jam Mahtab Hussain Dahar, confirming the case, said that the elderly patient was in a stable condition and had been shifted to the isolation ward.
