LAHORE: Lahore High Court (LHC) sought a reply on Monday from the Nankana Sahib DCO on a petition seeking the release of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Nankana’s Youth Wing senior vice president detained on the charge of being a member of an outlawed outfit. Maqsood, the petitioner, submitted through his counsel that his brother Muawiya had no links to any banned organisation. He said the DCO had declared Muawiya a member of the outlawed Lashkar-i-Jhangvi and issued his detention order.  Maqsood said the directive would affect his brother’s political standings. He requested the court to set aside the detention order and release Muawiya. The LHC bench, headed by Justice Syed Mazahar Ali Akbar Naqvi, sought a reply from the DCO by October 5.
