Local govt polls: UCs’ delimitation draft displayed
Draft contains a list of a total 50 union councils which earlier stood at 79 before the approval
ISLAMABAD:
The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Monday displayed the draft of delimitation of union councils of the Islamabad Capital Territory for local bodies’ elections. The draft has been displayed in the office of the delimitation officer Chaudhry Aleem in F-8 Markaz and objections can be raised till October 5, said a spokesman of the ECP. The objections will be decided till October 10 while a notification of the final delimitation will be issued on October 13. The draft contains a list of a total 50 union councils which earlier stood at 79 before the approval of a recently passed law.
