A six-year-old boy was injured in a train accident on Sunday.
Police said Mastaan Khan was attempting to catch a stray kite on the railway track near Jumma Muhalla when he was hit by a train. People in the area called up Rescue-1122.
A team arrived and took the boy to the DHQ hospital where doctors treating him said the boy had lost both legs.
They said his condition was serious.
Police said that the train driver had applied emergency brakes which had stopped the train with a severe jolt leaving several passengers in a state of panic.
