Moharram: Security plan to be devised
The IG directed that mosques, imambargahs and other venues of religious gatherings must be given special attention
KARACHI:
The inspector-general of the Sindh Police, Ghulam Haider Jamali, on Sunday appreciated the Sindh Police for making ample security arrangements on the occasion of Eidul Azha. He said that the protection of life and property of the people was the responsibility of the police department and the enforcement of law with a positive attitude should be ensured, according to a statement. He said that the month of Moharram was also approaching, therefore a pro-active approach must be adopted while making a security plan. He called upon the police officials to develop coordination with political leaders and religious scholars to take them onboard regarding Moharram security.
