Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has called upon the UN secretary-general to work towards implementing UN Security Council resolutions on Kashmir.
During his meeting with Ban Ki-moon in New York on the occasion of 70th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) on Sunday, Nawaz called for plebiscite in Jammu and Kashmir to resolve the longstanding issue, Radio Pakistan reported.
He also raised the issue of ceasefire violations by India on the Line of Control and working boundary.

The premier called upon the UN chief to play his role in ending unprovoked ceasefire violation by India.
Dilating on his domestic agenda, PM Nawaz assured the UN Secretary General that the fight against terror is his top priority.
Pakistan seeks to have new relationship with Afghanistan and is ready to assist the country in the process of reconciliation, he added.
Ban Ki-moon expressed concerns over the tension prevailing between Pakistan and India, and called for beginning of dialogue between the two countries to resolve all outstanding issues.
He lauded Pakistan's contribution to UN peacekeeping efforts and paid homage to the efforts of its peace-keepers.
