Like every year, Islamabad presented a deserted look on Thursday as most residents have left for their hometowns to celebrate Eid with their families and friends.
Almost all markets, streets and road looked empty.
Only few vehicles were seen on roads, children on the streets and customers in the markets.
However, almost all bus stops were packed with people leaving the city ahead of the four official holidays announced by the government for Eid.
Sanitary workers and security officials will remain on duty in the capital during the holidays.
The official Eid holidays are from Thursday to Sunday.
Most families staying in the capital usually visit popular picnic spots such as Lake View Park, Daman-e-Koh, Marghazar Zoo, Shakarparian, Jasmine Garden and Japanese Park.
