Custody issue: Committee formed to oversee shrine’s affairs

The Supreme Court has formed a committee to oversee administrative affairs at the shrine of Sufi saint Sultan Bahu till a custody battle of the shrine is put to rest.
A three-member bench on Tuesday formed a five-member committee headed by a sessions judge of Jhang district.
The zonal administrator of the Auqaf Department has been appointed secretary of the committee.
Other members of the committee include petitioners Munib Sultan, Najib Sultan and Sahibzada Sultan Hameed.
The court directed Lahore High Court and civil courts to decide matters pertaining to the custody on priority. Sahibzada Sultan Hameed, Munib Sultan and Najib Sultan have filed separate cases claiming custody of the shrine.
