Saddar Police said that the workers were dismantling the lift they used to carry the building material to the top of the building when the roof collapsed, trapping Mansab Dad, Muhammad Asif, Wazir Ahmad and an unidentified worker.
Rescue 1122 and police officials managed to pull out the workers after a rescue operation that lasted over two hours. Mansab Dad had died from the impact of the roof, while the other three were injured. They were taken to a hospital. An eye-witness said, “They had finished building the roof in the morning and were preparing to leave.” Police were trying to determine the exact cause of collapse till the last reports came in.
