PESHAWAR:
Peshawar Electricity Supply Company is going to construct a 132 kV grid station at the WAPDA Housing Society in Taru Jabba. The decision was taken by the company’s CEO Syed Hassan Fazil during a meeting with the society’s management committee members in the city on Tuesday. The attendees reviewed construction and development activities in the housing scheme and expressed satisfaction over the progress.

They were informed that Sui Northern Gas Company has issued demand notices to the society’s allotees. Once they deposit Rs1,150 per marla to the gas company, it will begin laying down gas supply lines.

Talking on the occasion, Fazil approved 22 kanals of land for the construction of the new grid station that will fulfil the needs of the housing scheme. He said the station will also ensure a steady supply of electricity to the society’s adjoining neighbourhoods. “Water filtration plants will also be set up and street lights will be installed.” Flanked by Tribal Areas Electric Supply Company CEO Zakaullah Gandapur, finance GM Anwarul Yousafzai and others, the Pesco CEO said three prayer leaders and one deputy prayer leader have been appointed at the housing society’s mosques.
