HYDERABAD:
Thousands of children are being pushed to work in prawn processing units, cleaning of shrimps and snails at Keamari, Ibrahim Haideri and seashore areas in Karachi, said Society for the Protection of the Rights of the Child regional manager, Kashif Bajeer on Tuesday. These children work in extremely unhygienic condition, where they often wash the shells and take out substances from inside them with the help of knives and bare hands, he stated.
