KARACHI: Pakistan all-rounder Rana Navedul Hasan has joined Tasmania to take part in the Twenty20 Big Bash in Australia.

Naved, who was snubbed for Pakistan’s tour of New Zealand despite a good performance in the Quaid-i-Azam Trophy, opted to feature in the Aussie event. “I’m very happy to be back once again,” said Naved.  “I want to perform as an all-rounder and I’m looking to help my team in winning the competition this time.”

Naved is the only Pakistan player to reach for the Big Bash as former captain Shoaib Malik is yet to receive the go-ahead by Pakistan Cricket Board for the tournament.
