ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information Pervaiz Rashid said on Sunday that the upcoming by-elections would be a contest between ‘performers’ and ‘blame gamers.’

“It will be a contest between the parties who believe in serving the masses and the parties politicking on the basis of blame game,” the minister said, addressing a news conference.

Chief of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan wanted to foment anarchy in the country by defying the code of conduct of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), Rashid said, adding that Imran desires to tie up the hands of his opponents but it is not possible.

Imran was not ready to bear the burden of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa but on the contrary Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was fulfilling his obligations to the people across the country.

The candidates of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz had already inflicted a crushing defeat on Imran Khan thrice in NA-122, including twice by current candidate Sardar Ayaz Sadiq. In the upcoming by-elections, Imran would also be defeated from his home polling station of Zaman Park.

He said the PML-N is a political party and it believes in dealing the PTI politically.
