Police claimed on Sunday to have arrested two suspects from Kumharanwala Chowk for swindling citizens by pretending to be Crime Investigation Agency officials.


Officials said they had nabbed Imran and Kifayatullah after being tipped of by the CIA.


Police said the former used to approach families of missing persons and tell them concocted stories about them in exchange for money.


Officials said he used to assure them that he would recover their relatives by presenting fake CIA documents.


Police said Kifayatullah used to forge cards and assist his accomplice. Officials said they had seized fake identity cards and ‘official’ documents from them.
