School fee hike: Parents reject 10% increase

We want the government to first register our association

ISLAMABAD:
The Private Schools Parents Association has rejected the 10 per cent increase in fee as agreed by owners of private educational institutes in a recent meeting with government representatives. The association members demanded that the fee be frozen at the level of 2013, while addressing a press conference at the National Press Club here on Sunday. On Friday, the owners of private educational institutes met Minster of State for Education and Professional Training Balighur Rehman at the ministry to end the stalemate over the fee hike following protests by parents. “We want the government to first register our association,” said Aliya Agha, one of the members of the association.
